Are you looking for an aquatic sport that you and your co-workers can tackle together? Are you looking for a challenge that requires dedication and teamwork? Are you looking to try something out of the ordinary? If so, the Montreal Rowing Club has the answer: join the corporate rowing program!
Since 1994, the Montreal Rowing Club has provided companies with the opportunity to participate in a demanding physical activity on the Olympic Basin, one that requires commitment and team spirit.
Recruit an enthusiastic crew of 10 rowers (mixed or unisex) and a group of devoted fans (essential element for the end-of-season regatta!), and join our corporate rowing program!
Novice or experienced rower, you’ll learn the basic techniques of the sport, and augment your group’s team spirit by working towards one common objective: the corporate regatta.
The program, which lasts three weeks, includes 5 sessions and a friendly challenge against other teams. You will learn the art of rowing, will discover different race plans and will define your own strategy for the race.
Two parts of the program will be given. Choose the best time for your business:
Part I:
Part II:
Two trainings will be given weekly. Just choose the days that suit you. The training starts at 6pm for a period of 2 hours.
At the end of the training sessions, the Club’s corporate teams will meet in a friendly challenge where the winning crew will take home the corporate rowing trophy.
The regatta will allow you to test your new skills and the synchronicity of your crew. You’ll compete against other corporate crews in 500-metre races on the Olympic Basin. Crews will participate in 2 elimination races that will determine the finalists for the finals.
The regatta is followed by a BBQ during which prizes will be awarded.
An NCCP-certified instructor will coach you through your training sessions and help with your progression.
