The University of Montreal rowing team was created in the summer of 2008, and offers students the opportunity to practice an Olympic sport, rowing, for the first time in a francophone university in America.
The team participates in several competitions in Quebec, Canada and the United States. In this regard, the rowers magnificently inaugurated the birth of the team by bringing medals from Head of the Fish, Saratoga, and from Quebec Indoor Rowing championships, in 2009.
Every year, the team participates to regattas such as in Ottawa, Boston, Saratoga, Ste. Catharines, Peterborough.
Anyone wishing to join the team must participate in a recruitment camp in the last week of August and fitness tests that will assess your requirements endurance, strength and cardio. To register for camp or for information on recruitment procedures please visit the team website.
