Learn-to-row (LTR)

Program

LTR courses are offered to individuals who want to rowing and discover a new aquatic activity. The LTR course primarily covers sculling (rowing with two oars) and, over the eight-hour course, provides you with the main concepts of rowing.

The objective of this course is to teach participants the basics and to provide them with the elements needed to launch them into their rowing careers—be it as competitive or recreational rowers.

The standard LTR is an 8-hour course of 4 2-hour sessions given over a two-week period. The course schedule is as follows:

  • Monday and Wednesday evenings over 2 consecutive weeks: four 2-hour sessions from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, or
  • Tuesday and Thursday evenings over 2 consecutive weeks: four 2-hour sessions from 6:00 to 8:00, or
  • 1 weekend course (Saturday and Sunday): two 4-hour sessions starting at 9:00 am or at 1:00 pm.

LTR courses start in May and continue through to the last week of August. Click here to download the 2012 LTR program schedule.
