Masters program

Program

If you want to row and except to reach a high level of racing but have over 27 years, the Montreal Rowing Club invites you to join the Masters program.

With this program, members can train as competitive members, with the goal of racing in provincial, national and even international regattas. In September 2011, our members participated in the FISA Masters World Championships in Poland!

During the summer, practices will be held at the Olympic Basin, while during the winter you can enjoy the Quartier des Athlètes facilities to keep you in shape!

Training

Training sessions supervised by coaches are given three times a week in the evenings.

  • During the summer, trainings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the Olympic Basin.
  • During the winter, the training are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Saturday mornings between 10:00 am and 12:00 am at Quartier des Athlètes.

Outside these periods of supervised training, members can enjoy the Olympic Basin during free time but without a coach.

The training programs are provided by coaches who will ask you to respect them as faithfully as possible. Success depends on it!

Coaching

You benefit from the supervision of coaches who have their NCCP certification, which will help and advise you to improve your rowing. These coaches are continously improving with RCA training and their training are suitable for high-level practice.
